What we collect in the app

|---|---|---|
| Email address and password | To create and secure your account and let you sign in. Passwords are stored by our authentication provider in hashed form — we never see them. | Contract |
| Saved videos | To keep the list of places you've saved so you can come back to them. | Contract |
| App usage events (for example screens viewed, sign-ups and sign-ins, videos opened and taps on Book Now) and an app-instance identifier | To understand how the app is used, fix problems and improve what we show you. We don't use this for advertising. | Legitimate interests |
| Device integrity check | Apple's App Attest confirms requests come from a genuine copy of the app, to protect our service and your account from abuse. It doesn't identify you personally. | Legitimate interests |
| IP address and technical request data | Processed by our hosting and video-delivery providers to stream videos and prevent abuse. | Legitimate interests |
When you tap Book Now or Visit Website, you leave Dilly Dally and go to the venue's own site or booking provider. Their privacy policy applies to anything you share with them.
Who we share data with
We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run Dilly Dally, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- MailerLite — stores website sign-ups and sends our emails.
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics and App Check) — accounts, saved videos, app analytics and app integrity.
- Cloudflare — website hosting, security and video delivery.
- Apple — app distribution and App Attest.
We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.
International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside the UK, including in the European Economic Area and the United States. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
- Website sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. We periodically remove contacts who no longer engage with our emails.
- App account and saved videos: for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete this data.
- Analytics: kept in aggregated or pseudonymous form for up to 14 months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your personal data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email hello@dillydallyapp.com. We'll respond within one month.
Deleting your app account: email us from the address you signed up with and we'll permanently delete your account and saved videos.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please contact us.
